NOVELS
Get a glimpse of my first novel: The Most Important Thing.
You can also see a sampling of my new short novel: Great Men Are Free Men.
Both books are available as paperbacks and e-books on Amazon!
Here are some of what I call my ‘fairy tales’ or ‘fantasy tales.’ They all involve either some element of the bizarre or some similarities to folklore.
When I was interning on Capitol Hill and my friend was an intern in Paris, we kept in touch by sending each other things we wrote and discussing our mutual wish for a wormhole to open up that would allow us to travel more easily. Hence this adventure
Read Time Change
F. Scott Fitzgerald wrote in the fragments of his Note-books: “She wanted to crawl into his pocket and be safe forever.” I had that line in mind when I started writing a story five years ago. It took two years to get to what it is now. It never got a real title.
Read A Pocket Story
Ingvar the Far-travelled is the name of a real Viking. Look him up on wikipedia. Borrowing that identity, and inspired by a little entry in Kierkegaard’s personal journals and papers, I came up with this ‘visionary’ tale. (pun!) I wrote it in an hour.
There is a character in Doctor Zhivago that no one would ever want to be. The wife. Tonia.
Several years ago I wrote my sister the Saga of the HMS Destudos. Here’s a new story for her called The Mysterious and Magical Journey of a Girl Called Wolf. I’m not sure if it’s something that anybody else would want to read. It’s mostly on the site for her benefit, but feel free to take a look.

(It’s hilarious and therapeutic, so you may not judge me.)
ROBIN HOOD
In the Spring of 2007, I channel-surfed my way onto BBC America on a Saturday night and found “Robin Hood.” The last episodes of series 2, which were illegally posted on youtube the next fall, prompted me to make my first foray into fanfiction. The funny thing about it, which no one could really guess, is that it saved my life. Some day when I’m famous and don’t have to worry about people’s impressions of me, I’ll tell you the whole story.
In the meantime, here is my favorite one-shot, plus the second chapter that was added to round it out.
Read Scars Revisited and Scars Revisited 2
VAMPIRES
Yeah, it was inevitable that I’d get my feet wet in the fandom of True Blood and subsequently Southern Vampire Mysteries.
Read my newest (relatively speaking) story: Madness stops for no one.
